Biographical Summary:

Patricia M. Lucas (The Mary Louis Academy Class of 1949, St. John's University Class of 1953) was a true teaching icon. Daughter of Richard and Frances Lucas, Ms. Lucas is well known for her extensive knowledge of ancient and classical cultures and governments. Ms. Lucas taught History and Government & Politics (G&P) for ~45 years at The Mary Louis Academy (TMLA) as well as St. John's University (SJU); she was also the sole instructor of the TMLA-SJU Advance Placement G&P course and a founding contributor to the landmark Sun Yat Sen Center at St. John's University, which is home to countless classical volumes and works of art.
