Our monthly empowerment series continues with a close look at how to leverage your formal training and network as an emerging young professional to make the transition from your educational environment to the formal workplace.

Since 2009, our goal has been to help emerging young professionals connect with viable career resources and opportunities. We have been particularly active in the months during the pandemic, lending support to struggling students, professionals, new entrepreneurs and local business owners. These events consist of multi-part segments on a select monthly topic designed to educate, inspire and empower attendees, connect them with primiere specialists and service providers, and create a dependable professional parea.

So many emerging young professionals don't have fixed strategies in place for key transitional points transitional points along the path to their first real job. During this event we will take a close look at different strategies to choose the path that best suits your immediate and long-term goals as an emerging young professional.
This month's seminar features talks by premiere College-to-Career specialists from Flexjobs, Your Instructional Designer and Giraffes Consulting.

Terrylynn Smith, Founder of Giraffes Consulting, will discuss topics relating to current trends and tips to make a smooth transition from college to internships, graduate school or the workforce.

11:30am PART II: Flexible Jobs and the Workforce

Cidnye Weimer Work, Career Coach at FlexJobs, will discuss topics relating to the increasing demands for jobs and the future of reliable flexible jobs and online work opportunities.

11:45am PART III: Designing Your Resume & Professional Profile ​

Dr. Nicole Papaioannou Lugara, Founder of Your Instructional Designer, will discuss the best way to present and format materials on your resume and professional profile (on LinkedIn and similar recruitment platforms) to help showcase your skills and strengths in a clear and effective manner.
