OUR BROCHURE
Our Growing History & Legacy of Empowerment

Established in 2009, the Philo4Thought Hellenic Mentoring Initiative was a local project initiated to inspire college students in New York City through a series of small-group networking and mentoring activities. As we gained momentum we launched an advisory blog of inspirational and instructional articles. Today we offer a wider range of publications, tutorials, workshops, seminars and an annual conference.

We have a broad network of premier international collaborators in the industries of personal development, career management and development, team building, and more. We also have a variety of high-level mentors at our disposal to provide the most reliable service to our young professional members.

While our primary audience remains the Hellenic Young Professional (HYP) based in the tristate area, the 2020 crisis has spurred a vast new expansion resulting in extended community outreach and service to all affiliate minority youth groups throughout North America and Europe. Our open door policy helps us provide an inclusive, high-quality community service for all those in need.

The basis of our teachings and legacy are and will always remain fundamentally Hellenic in nature and spirit.

Burgeoning Philanthropic Outreach Since 2014...

Monthly & Seasonal Publications: We have gradually build this site, consisting of a variety of advisory publications. We also maintain a Resource Vault for our Passport Members. We have a series of instructional booklets on a variety of college-to-career and career development topics and continue to produce online seasonal advisories as new needs and topics in the industry of career and professional development arise. Additionally, we prepare tailored training packets for schools and companies to share.

Annual Symposium: Our annual HYP Spring Symposium has been hosted in prestigious settings including St. John's University Manhattan Campus (2020), the Wells Fargo Conference Center (2019), the Consulate of Greece in New York (2018), Columbia University (2015-2017) and the Archdiocesan of the Holy Trinity Cathedral (2014).
Peer, S.N.A.P. & Concierge Mentoring: We offer mentoring at a variety of levels and host monthly events as well as scheduling visit to schools, companies and other nonprofits for small-group lectures and training sessions. Our team consists of top-notch professionals and peer mentors.

Career Mission at Cathedral (CMC): In 2018, we established the CMC at the Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in NYC. This monthly discussion group is a safe space to discuss professional and academic questions and goals, review resumes, etc. in a small-group setting. These events are open to the public and cater to youth ~17 and older.

Passport Membership: For a small annual fee, our VIP Young Professional members receive exclusive discounts to our events and services as well as events hosted by our strategic affiliates. We offer a 25% reduction on the annual rate every October in honor of our Founders Day tradition.

Internships & Scholarships: In 2017 we launched our first internship in collaboration with the CUNY school system and in the following year we launched a new scholarship initiative for college-bound students in collaboration with the New York State Attorney General's Office.

Celebrating 10 Years of Service: 2019 marked our 10th year of community outreach and charitable service. To date, we have served over 350,000 individuals and are still running strong despite the pandemic. We are here for all those in need of guidance. All are welcome to join our free mailing list and to benefit from our many scheduled events & publications.
